Kinja'd!!!

So yesterday, I fitted the clown shoes and new tires onto the (Soon to be) JP Jeep.

Kinja'd!!!

But it’s still sitting a little high. I know the previous owner said it has a 2 inch lift. But that’s all I know. I’m not very well versed in anything suspension wise, so I need some info on what to do to return it to stock. Is it a combo of the shocks and shackles that are on right now? I have no clue.

The shackles are partially what gives it the lift. The other thing is the leaf springs themselves. They look like they have more arch to them than a stock set. This will lift your Jeep up higher. Craigslist may be able to get you a set of stock springs.

What that guy said. Also, why is there urethane bushings in the lower shackle pivot, but not the upper? Get some stock springs and replace the upper crusty looking rubbers, too.

When my co-worker had a Sahara (and he sold it to a guy who was going to make a JP replica) I priced out brand new springs for him, they weren’t TOO expensive.

P.S. I’m still amazed at how rusty the Jeep was, but how NICE the seats were.
